Student Groups

Find your people. Build your path. Bring your ideas to life.

At NYU Wagner, student groups are more than extracurricular—they’re a central part of your graduate experience. Whether you’re curious about food policy, health equity, urban planning, or inclusive leadership, there’s a student group waiting to welcome your ideas, challenge your thinking, and help you grow. Led by students and shaped by your interests, Wagner's 30+ student groups organize thought-provoking events, skill-building workshops, policy discussions, career panels, and creative community initiatives. Along the way, they spark unexpected collaborations, lasting friendships, and the kind of learning that happens beyond the classroom. Whether you want to dive deeper into a topic you're passionate about, explore new career possibilities, or simply connect with others who care about public service, there's a place for you here.

The Wagner Student Association

Your voice. Your community. Your impact.

The Wagner Student Association (WSA) is Wagner’s student government and your built-in support system. They advocate for your needs, manage funding for all student groups, and help shape the student experience at Wagner. WSA is here to make sure your ideas have a platform, your initiatives have support, and your time at Wagner is as connected and meaningful as possible. They also host school-wide events that bring students together across programs and foster a culture of collaboration and inclusion.
